The philosophy behind the Rubinacci salon was born in Naples, at the London House in via Filangieri; where people sit, have a coffee with Mariano himself, discuss the new fabrics and possibilities for a new garment.
Sometimes people leave without buying anything, but bring home the pleasure of having spent a few pleasant hours discussing the finer points of “bon vivre”.
The historic facilities opened their doors in 1930. Gennaro Rubinacci, also known as Bebč, was famous for his refined sense of style and fashion, as well as for being an art collector. He was visited by marquises, counts and other characters of high society who wanted his advice on fabrics and on the best tailors in the area. Because of this natural gift of his, he decided to open his own atelier, uniting all of the best local craftsmen.
To this very day, the master craftsmen of the Rubinacci tailor’s workshops continue to innovate and respect tradition with each new collection.
