Domus Aurea celeste
The Domus Aurea was built on the ashes of the terrible fire of 64 AD, which destroyed much of the city of Rome). This magnificent residence of Prince Nero, under the care of the architects Severus and Celer, came to occupy almost the whole center of Rome, erasing homes and public buildings, including a large lake in it "almost like a sea" (the stagnum Neronis) and "building as big as cities," so as to deserve the appellation and Aurea. The result was entirely innovative concept of the whole of the Domus Aurea, proportions and ornaments in luxury, this approachable only to eastern dynastic palaces and buildings of the court of Alexandria.
